Rediscovering Raymond E. Feist Books: Enjoying a Return to Fantasy Reading

My kids got me a few Raymond E Feist books. Been a while I'd read anything by him so I'm enjoying that.

It's a series of trilogies mostly, but each trilogy is better if you know some additional context from the previous works. Start with Magician Apprentice (Riftwar Saga) and go from there. They are 100% my favorite fantasy books. The second trilogy reminds me of what fuedal Japan could have been like if there (clan wars, honor-driven behavior) but also with an "we are outside the law" council of magicians that govern themselves as a group. Fun stuff.

I don't often re-read books (other than scriptural works), but this is my 3rd time through these. Having fun.

I'll take a look at some point — I already have a bunch of sci-fi in the list but not as much fantasy. I don't think I've read any since Redwall when I was a kid, to be honest
