Job Market Insights: Why Are There So Many Open Roles and Seekers?

Question for y'all -- I see Ashley posting tons of jobs and LinkedIn keeps telling me I'm "qualified" for several new roles a day, even though I haven't indicated anywhere I'm looking. And yet I still see several posts a day from folks who are walking away from the job search after months of looking. What gives? Are there still far more seekers than openings? Are those all just ghost jobs? Are all these orgs looking for unicorn candidates that don't exist?
