My guess is they have very specific requirements that aren't being communicated in the JD. (e.g. "we want a director who has also been a working therapist")

could be. Of course, not stating those requirements reduces their changes of finding that unicorn.

I bet that someone put that job on auto-repost somehow, then left the company and nobody still there knows how to turn it off. It's probably their boss's job.
