Really like the breakout of erosion from depletion you outline in this one. When I left my last job I spent months rewiring my habits and ways of thinking to try and unwind from what I thought was burnout. But it's no wonder that rest alone didn't solve it... also needed dozens of hours of therapy
Uuugh I’m sorry you went through that. Sadly it's not a unique experience, and I really do think as an industry we need to take this way more seriously than we are.
I'm loving this series Ines. I'm also recovering from burnout. I thought I could just take a few months off and be good as new. I'm not sure that's going to be the case. But I also have a full luggage set of baggage to work through. What I do know is that I won't be going back to the same systems that chewed me up
Part 5 has some suggestions on preventative measures by the way. Not something that works retroactively, that will need a clinician and empirical research to figure out.
