Hey all! I host a little podcast called The Not-Boring Tech Writer (https://thenotboringtechwriter.com/).
Hey all! I host a little podcast called The Not-Boring Tech Writer. This year I'm focusing on inviting guests who are writing documentation but wouldn't call themselves "technical writers", because so many of the most passionate documentation makers I know have no formal training in technical communications and are usually wearing some other job role title, and I've taken it as a personal mission to democratize the idea of who "does" technical writing. (You can hear a bit more passionate ramble about this here.) Most of my career has been spent as a support person writing documentation to help in my support roles, and I only officially started calling myself a technical writer a couple years ago, so the CX community in particular holds a special place in my heart. I know y'all are creating solid documentation, canned replies, etc., to make life easier or better, and this totally qualifies as technical writing in my book. I've been really hoping to get a couple CX folks on, but so far no one has materialized. If you or someone you know might want to come on the podcast to talk about the kinds of writing and documentation you're doing, please fill out our Guest suggestions form and give me your/their details!
