@channel Hi everyone, it's fall. It doesn't feel like it yet in many parts of the world; it'll be a scorching 95°F in California today and a crispy 11°C in Wellington, NZ. London is coming in cool at 15°C and NYC is a muggy mess of 81°F. All this is to say nothing is ever the same anywhere and that is magic of our own unique experiences. When I bring to the table my sweaty and sunburned self, I can count on someone else wrapping their cardigan a little more tightly in the breeze. But if I only consider myself, my own weather patterns, how the Coca-Cola company's drain on our environment has specifically impacted my coast and caused our summer to linger later and later every year, I miss the opportunity to embrace stories of a New Zealand spring. Other people's stories are so important right now. We're being crushed by LinkedIn influencers using ChatGPT to mansplain their way around our feeds, and misinformation is being written by AI that's been programmed by other AIs that we built to replace the people who built them all. But we need real stories, real experience, real advice from real humans. What I see happening each day in our little community is people reaching out for other perspectives, other people's stories, and all of us jumping in to share ours. It makes me happy to know that right here in our little Slack, we've got each other's backs. We're listening. We're sharing. We're here to help, however we can.
