ElevateCX May Update: Community, Office Hours & Upcoming Events!

One thing I’ve been thinking about a lot recently is that community isn’t singular, and it’s never about one person. ElevateCX isn’t about me, or any other individuals, and that’s what makes it so special and authentic. It’s about everyone’s 🔒[private feed] and 🔒[private feed]s. A lot of folks are out there chasing clout as CX influencers and it may sometimes seem like there’s a cool kids club of those folks with podcasts and blogs and that they’re the only opinions that matter. But for all of those cloutchasers, there’s people who influenced them and mentored them; for every podcast, there’s 1000 of us who think the same things and have the same solutions, just without the platform. (and while we're mentioning it, do make sure to follow Conor Pendergrast, mrpatto, mercer and Jen Weaver off the top of my head!)
This community is your platform. I encourage you to ask for help (🔒[private feed]), promote your stuff (Promote It), connect with locals, and raise your hand to get involved in helping us plan things for the group. Want to host a local happy hour or hike or coffee? Just let me know and we’ll help you promote it. Let’s encourage each other to share more and be more involved, and let’s not be the types to step over each other, steal content from each other, take credit for other people’s cool ideas, or generally use this community to only advance our own agendas and reputations on LinkedIn. Maybe we’ll start a union, what do you think birdcar?

Starting May 8, we’re kicking off ElevateCX Office Hours — a monthly, no-pressure hangout to chat, connect, and unwind with fellow Elevators. Nothing formal, just good people and good vibes. Future ones might have themes (hot takes? audits? rants?), but this first one’s a free-for-all. First one's hosted by colinflanigan with his sassy sidekick Erica!
